Poor or improper food choices during hot weather may also leads to dull lifeless skin, dry and brittle nails and thin, lusterless, and weak hair.

As said by many researchers, the processes and cells that support strong, vibrant hair and healthy skin mainly count on a well balanced diet and lifestyle. Here are few directions to a perfect summer diet for some sweet, healthy relief.

Get-gorgeous with these foods!!

  • Colorful Fruits: Melons (Watermelon & Musk Melon), Mango, Pineapple, Peaches, Sweet lime, Strawberries, kiwi etc.
  • Green Leafy Vegetables: Spinach, Mint, Coriander, Kale, Broccoli, etc
  • Low-fat dairy: Fresh curd, thin buttermilk & cottage cheese, etc

  • Indulge in less strenuous activity: Yoga, Walking, Swimming, etc
  • Eat easy-to-digest, nutritious and non-fatty meals. Cut the intake of fried, spicy and extremely salty foodstuffs. Go for grilled or broiled fish instead of fried fish.
  • Pay attention to the body’s signals like thirst and a dry throat. Drink plenty of water and fluids: Buttermilk, Coconut water, Lemon water with mint, etc
    • Limit the consumption of diuretics like coffee, tea, colas, etc.
    • Lassi/ thick shakes can be consumed in moderation.
  • Before stepping out: choose light-weight, light-coloured and loose-fitting clothes. Apply a good-quality sunscreen at least 30 minutes prior to going out. Until the end of summer time carry water bottle during outings.
