Hair Care : Untangle Your Hair Issues

hare-care

Hair issues and multiple “bad hair day” upset us ladies. Many a times untreated hair issues recur if the causes aren’t identified.

Here is a Hair Care Guide for you to manage your hair issues effectively in long run.

HAIR CARE:

  • Avoid combing hair with fine-toothed combs when wet, since this is a common cause of breakage. The stress on the hair shaft is immense when the hair is wet because it is weakened. Remember, over-combing or over-brushing generally will cause damage to the hair.
  • Brushing the hair before washing can loosen up flakes of sebum and dead skin buildup and make it easier to clean the scalp thoroughly during shampooing.
  • Excessive shampooing can strip vital minerals like calcium, phosphorus, nitrogen and iron from the hair. Choose a shampoo with a proper pH level (pH level of 5.5 is ideal). Homeopathic shampoo with Arnica and Jaborandi is very helpful.
  • After washing hair, dry it by blotting the hair with a towel. Avoid rubbing, especially with terrycloth towels, as this will pull hair when it is in a weakened state, due to the wetness.
  • Excessive coloring, styling or heat treatments, and chemical treatments can damage hair and cause breakage even when the directions are followed and the treatment is performed correctly.
  • Another styling caution is against the overuse of hairstyles that pull the hair too tight, such as ponytails and braids, which will cause hair loss especially along the sides of the scalp. This syndrome is called Traction Alopecia.
  • Too much vitamin A can cause your hair to fall out.
  • Massage your scalp with olive oil/ almond+ coconut +castor oil in equal proportions base. Massaging the scalp can stimulate the circulation in the scalp and promote hair growth

FAQs ON Hair Fall

I am losing about 20 hairs per day? Is it worth worrying?

What are the causes of hair fall?
There may be more reasons than one, e.g. nutritional, stress, hormonal, infection, local factors, etc

Is hair loss inherited?
It is commonly believed that a man is more likely to have hair loss if his mother’s father also had hair loss. It appears that hair loss is inherited, but we don’t really know how. A person who experiences hair loss can have a family history of hair loss on either side of the family. On the other hand, there may be no family history of hair loss. The good news is – if you have someone in your family who has hair loss, it doesn’t mean you will have hair loss, also.

Is hair loss reversible?
For instance, in the case of telogen effluvium, which is often caused by a stressful event, it may be only one cycle of hair growth that is affected, therefore the hair follicles will enter anogen normally and hair will be regenerated.
In the case of androgenic alopecia on the other hand, there is at this point no cure. However, by treating the hormone imbalance that is at the heart of the disorder, it’s certainly possible to manage the symptom and slow down if not prevent significant hair loss.

What is Alopecia Areata?
Alopecia areata is nothing but patchy hair loss. It can occur on any hairy part of the skin.

Can stress cause hair fall?
Yes, stress can trigger some immunological or endocrinal changes which may in turn changes which may lead to alopecia. However, stress is not the single factor leading to alopecia.

Is hair fall connected with underactive thyroid?
Yes, hair loss is one of the most common symptoms of Under Active Thyroid (hypothyroid).

What is alopecia diffusa?
Generalised hair loss is called as alopecia diffusa.

Homeopathic treatment:

The homeopathic treatment treats hair loss very effectively and safely by correcting internal factors.

Can homeopathy cure baldness?
No. Homeopathy can treat cases of Hair loss, Alopecia Areata and Trichotillomania but not baldness. However, homeopathy can control further baldness.

Hair care treatment works best for those who have the time and patience to follow the practitioner’s plan exactly to provide a whole-body approach to their hair loss. Homeopathic remedies, stress-reduction such as yoga and improving your nutrition also will be suggested as a part of the treatment for your hair loss.
