28th March of each year is a very special day for me! It’s a “You became a MOM day!!” for me.

Both Normal-Home deliveries ?

28th March 1997, afternoon 2.30pm, my midwife checked me, told my mom to get ready for my delivery, and at 3.18 PM, my son was in this beautiful world.

I was completely mentally prepared for this natural delivery. I believed in the natural birth giving process. Since the moment, I was pregnant I did most of the household work on my own to keep me fit and active.

I have heard many women around me facing pregnancy problems and solutions they try to seek during their pregnancy term and while giving birth. Luckily, I had met with a midwife previously, near my mom’s place who had an experience of 25+years. Her confidence gave me the confidence. Her kit was a perfect one, with all the equipments (TT  injections, Oxytocin injections, new blades etc).

She used to come and check me after each hour. She gave me a cup full of jaggery, which I had to eat it after every 15 minutes with lots of water.

At 2.30 she injected me the first Oxytocin injection, second one after 15 minutes and told me to breath and push the baby downwards. My mom and one friend were helping me in pressing my stomach in her guidance.  I was very comfortable.  No pain as such, no worries at all. My water bag burst. After than I felt some pain in my stomach which was not much painful, and at the second pain I felt the baby coming out and it was done!

My Dad was sitting in the other room mostly unaware of what was happening in my room. He was surprised to hear a baby boy crying !! He was happy as he was Nana now!!

Such a divine experience to become a mom by a natural way! With a healthy baby boy of 4 kgs. (weighed on the weighing scale at the Fair shop of my mother)

27th March of 2004, waiting for the delivery of my second baby. The confidence of my first normal delivery with my same midwife and this time even one the Doctor friends of Aurangabad, Dr. Pradnya Jagtap, I was ready.

At 10.30 PM, I felt my pain started, my wayer bag bursted, after few minutes the pain started arising.  At 12.01 AM, i.e 28th March my second baby boy was with us to see this beautiful world, wishing his Big Bro a Happy Birthday wishes on his Happy birthday!

Same weighing scale, same weight, same place, same midwife, same date, both normal-home deliveries, all went well!!

I worked up till the last hours during both pregnancy terms.

I truly felt my body knew what to do. I truly trusted my mom and all those who were there with me. I trusted my Gynecologist friend, who was there for 8 days with me.  I put all my trust into my remarkable body and let it take over and do what it really wished to and knew what to do!!
