Right now I am 7 months pregnant woman, this is my 1^st pregnancy.

One day my husband told me “Why don’t you go to your mummy’s home and be relaxed during your pregnancy?”
First I felt like he wants me to stay away from him so he can enjoy his freedom. But how can I stay away from him especially when our baby was on its way! I could not give this reason for staying with him. I just told him, “I like your nose and I want our child to have nose like yours! You know that saying, right – What you look at continuously during pregnancy is what your child will imbibe.”

I think that flattering one liner convinced him.

Of course, that is not the only reason I would say why I decided to stay with my husband instead of going to my mummy’s home. Also, I heard someone telling me that after baby’s delivery, the new mother hardly gets any time for herself. So, I would like to make the most of my freedom in these days. Going for a movie, waking up late in the morning, eating mouth-watering chat & yummy food; roaming around till late night & having a candle light dinner in a dark cold night with my husband. It gives me feeling of an unbelievable luxury.

Shopping for my new clothes which will fit me in pregnancy’s different stages, window shopping for tiny and colorful baby stuff and thinking of welcoming him/her, asking husband to click a picture each week of my baby bump, take a walk – are some of the moments I cherished during most amazing phase of my life.

Sometimes, my husband puts his hand on my tummy and pampers it with an emotion as if he is touching the baby and asking “How the baby must be feeling inside, right now and what he must be saying?”

I reply, “baby is telling me to dance” and I start listening – singing a fast track and dance like a baby. Really, these small things and the joy it brings can’t be described in words but I believe each and every moment I enjoyed, would have been lived and enjoyed by my baby as well. These Baby’s Days IN will last with me forever.

The biggest advantage of staying with my husband and not staying at mother’s place is I don’t have to listen to so many myths and false assumptions from so many other women that have been practiced and passed on for generations as my husband is a logical man and makes me follow doctor’s advice only.

Further, there are many friends of mine who stayed at their mother’s place during pregnancy and instead of enjoying those beautiful moments they were very desperate for delivery as somewhere they were badly missing their spouses.
