What every Woman should know about the Menstrual Cycle?

A big part of my PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) Journey was getting in sync with my cycle. And by that I don’t only mean getting regular periods.

It also meant learning about the four phases of the menstrual cycle and optimising my life around it. One of the most astonishing things about this was how unaware I was about the four phases!

Do you know many women who can name the four phases of the menstrual cycle without looking them up?

I strongly believe one of the reasons why PCOS Awareness is important and needed is as a result of the silence women assume around menstruation and the menstrual cycle. Feeling ashamed to talk about the menstrual cycle means it is highly likely women feel same about PCOS. This cycle of silence need to come to end and women should be able to openly learn and discuss a very normal and important part of Women’s Health.
